Every piece of PEI YI jewellery is handmade to order from individually selected freshwater Baroque pearls. By definition, Baroque pearls are irregular in shape. While we make our best effort to preserve the original shape of the pieces as shown on the website, please expect slight variations in overall shape, colour and lustre. No two PEI YI pieces are identical. We consider this to be one of the most beautiful aspects of working with Baroque pearls.

 

As all pieces are handmade-to-order, your order will take 1-4 weeks to produce from the order date unless otherwise notified. We will keep you updated on your order’s progress on your nominated contact email.

 

Postage

We will not be held liable for any loss or damage that occurs as a result of incorrect details or the mailing service. All orders over $200 are automatically insured for loss/damage at additional cost that will be applied at checkout. In the event of a lost or damaged parcel, please contact us at hello@peiyi.online with your tracking details and details regarding the loss/damage and we will do our best to resolve the issue.

 

Returns & Exchange

Returns for exchange are accepted only in the case of manufacturing faults or sizing issues. We do not accept returns for change of mind or damage from wear. If you wish to exchange your piece, please contact hello@peiyi.online within 5 business days of receiving the item. 

 

Returns must be sent in original packaging, in original condition to be accepted. We do not reimburse shipping costs. In the event we receive an item for return in unsuitable condition, we reserve the right to refuse return/exchange.

 

Repairs

For all PEI YI jewellery repairs, please contact hello@peiyi.online with a photo and clear description of the fault. Major manufacturing faults will be fixed free of charge (excluding shipping). We reserve the right to determine what is considered a manufacturing fault. Damage from wear can be fixed for a small fee depending on the nature of damage. Please note that we cannot repair damage to pearls from wear (e.g. cracks, chips, dulling of the nacre).

 

Care

Store your pieces flat, preferably wrapped in a soft cloth to avoid abrading the surface of the pearls. Avoid dropping on hard surfaces. It’s best to put your jewellery on last — exposing pearls to chemicals like perfume, makeup, sunscreen and even sweat will oxidize the surface over time causing irreversible dulling of the surface. To prevent this, wipe the pearls gently with a soft damp cloth after wear. Avoid exposing pieces to heat and sun.

Necklaces will lightly stretch over time with wear. Necklaces can be restrung for a small fee, please contact hello@peiyi.online for restringing services.

 

Silver naturally oxidizes over time. The resultant tarnish can be removed by gently rubbing the piece with a silver polishing cloth. We do not recommend applying silver polish near pearls as the polish will damage the nacre.

 

Privacy

We respect your data privacy. No personal information shared with PEI YI will ever be shared with a third party.
